Spooky Halloween party
What fun all the children and our girls (the staff) had on Halloween.   Baking cheesecake, making bats and ghosts, getting dressed up and ending the day with a disco.  The party had lots of spooky music and food to eat.
A great day had by all.  I am not sure who had more fun, the children or our staff.

Tips for talking

Helping babies and young children learn skills for talking.  Ways we can support and develop communication.

Use simple language

Keep your sentences short.  For example, “Food time now” or “Wow, you’re building a tower”.

Dressing up
The day started with everyone getting dressed up.  We had ghosts, skeleton, witches, cats and many more costumes.  Some parents had taken time and care to make costumes for the event.
Baking
The children baked a cheesecake which, as you can imagine, did not last long before it all got eaten up.  The helped weigh and measure the ingredients and took turns to mix it all up.
Face painting
WOW, our girls really are fine artists. The children’s faces looked fantastic after they had been painted.  This was enjoyed immensely by the children who went around scaring everyone with scary faces and spooky noises.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful childcare service you provide at Tiny Adventures, with particular mention to the pre-school team.  All of your staff are a credit to Tiny Adventures, a nursery I would highly recommend to anyone - you should be very proud of your achievements to date.”

Disco
During the disco we played musical statues and musical chairs.  Then we all danced the afternoon away to the music.
Disco
Time was spent cutting and sticking to make Halloween bats and pumpkins.  This helped to develop their fine motor coordination and use scissors.
